Early stage: start with identity
- →Every product unit (or batch) has a globally unique identifier
- →A machine-readable data carrier is on the product or packaging
- →The identifier resolves to a live passport record online
- →Material composition and substances of concern are recorded per product
Self-assessment against the common EU DPP data themes (ESPR). The free scanner checks your actual export files field by field.
How this checklist was built
The checks distil the recurring data requirements across ESPR delegated acts and the battery passport regulation: unique identifiers, machine-readable data carriers, structured material and repairability data, supplier interoperability, and tiered access. RedBite was founded by researchers from Cambridge Auto-ID Labs, the group behind the EPC/RFID identity standards that DPP data carriers build on, and we ship production traceability systems such as itemit and umin.ai.
When the self-assessment flags gaps, the next step is checking real data: the free readiness scanner scores a sample export field by field, and the DPP compliance hub covers sector deadlines and implementation paths.
